Another interpretation of a Modern home where the geometric shapes of bedrooms are clad in cedar siding to differentiate them from the main body of the house. Moving the various shapes to misalign with the stucco mass below, the home becomes defined by the interplay of these volumes. Exaggerating one of these forms on the first level allows for a large scale interior space for the Kitchen and Family Room, and provides for a direct connection between those areas and the bedrooms upstairs. The main stairwell is also a main feature in the house, reinforcing the physical connection between the two levels.
